Week 5--The MIA Email

So, Alysha forgot to send a group email for this week, so I'm left trying to think of things to write about from her video call with us.  But, even on the video call her internet cuts in and out so we miss a lot of the things she is sharing with us.  She enjoys the friendly people in the one ward that she and her companion are in charge of.  She said most of the people in Indiana are really friendly.  Their biggest adventure this week was when their furnace started making really loud noises and then died.  It was cold and snowy that day so they were brought space heaters, but, the space heaters ended up blowing a fuse in the apartment so they lost their power so they were only able to turn the space heaters on low which wasn't warm enough so they did a sleep over at some of the other sister missionaries apartment.

They haven't tried door to door trackting yet just follow ups on social media and phone trackting to share scriptures with people that they have had some success with.  She said she was able to do some painting this week as she helped make a thanksgiving poster to advertise their daily thankful plan to help the members of the ward share the gospel on their social media pages.

She and her companion were grateful to receive their first package in the mail from us that we had a lot of fun putting together.

It is always so nice to be able to message her and video chat with her on Mondays, but, I have to admit that the time goes by so fast and before we know it it is time to say goodbye for another week.  It always makes me a little sad and depressed after the phone call knowing that I have to wait another 7 days to see and talk with her again.  The week days feel very everlastingly L O N G!!!

Sorry, I'm not the best interpreter of Alysha's week--hopefully next week I'll be able to share her actual words.

Here is a few of the pictures she messaged me:
