Last weekly email of 2021--Week 11

Image
Hello Ya'll! This week we had exchanges! Sister Oliphant loves to draw and we were able to draw with each other for like 5 minutes. It was amazing. Then Sister Hales found and taught a guy the restoration on exchanges! His name is Christopher and I'm excited to meet him. We also had zone conference. It was amazing! Seriously so much was said that lifted my spirits and offered a lot of guidance.  Also, we had like our first lesson with Amy. It was a Christmas message, but then it turned a little into the Plan of Salvation. We're hoping to teach her the whole plan this week. Christmas was so fun, but it's hard to get in contact with some peeps too busy partying.  On Christmas I had the most incredible scripture study. I studied Matt. 26-28. Jesus Christ knew who he was and why he was here. He is an incredible example. He rose from the dead and he has all power. All power on earth and in heaven.  Ya'll the Book of Mormon is the Word of God. God answers prayers.  ...

Twas the Week Before Christmas

Hey ya'll.  Check out how long this email is. I didn't realize I had so much to say 😅 .    Transfers kinda stink. I had no idea missions included so many hard goodbyes. I knew saying bye to family would be hard. But then saying bye to MTC district and teachers was hard. Then I had to say bye to my mtc comp, and now my first comp in the field- - my mission mom! She was there for my first day, my first lesson, my first "check your speed", and "aggressive driving violation" (we ❤ u teewee). We got pulled over together (a member was driving), had so many ice cream nights, practiced our handstands and became pretty much professional sushi go players.    Of course transfers aren't all bad. Now I've got Sister Hales. She's pretty much OP. If the work doesn't get moving in Westfield with Sister Hales at the wheel, I don't know what could get it going.   We were out tracting and met a lady who had a sister over who was having a faith ...

Week 9--It's Transfer Week

Transfers have come. It's been an interesting week. We were able to go on exchanges which went crazy well! Sister Young and I ran into 90% Spanish speakers, who were all very friendly, and two invited us in! Between her broken Spanish and translation apps, we got a lot of referrals for the Spanish Elders! Haha.  Sister Kimmerle will be leaving to Fishers and I'll be staying in Westfield. My new companion will be Sister Hales. Also a member called and said her two sons want to be baptized so we're going to be teaching them soon! Talked with Axel over the phone, but we haven't been able to have a lesson yet. 😕 K thats all ❤ Sister Cox President and Sister Page with their favorite district. Facebook video setup Two greenies  A guy holding coffee in the background of a picture taken at a Christmas market. Sister Kimmerle is leaving me 😢 Sis. Kimmerle finally talked me into getting glasses Mourning a batch of cookies didn't turn out L O L

Week 8--Frosty The Investigator

This past week we had a little bit of a package scare as I sent Alysha's Christmas pkg off early like her mission president wanted to get there before transfers happen this week.  Every thing was great until I checked tracking and realized that for 4 days my pkg never moved from the West Jordan Post Office.  The Saturday that it was suppose to reach Alysha it was still in West Jordan!!  I was freaking out that her Christmas package was lost and that she wouldn't have anything for Christmas or by the time they found the pkg it would be too late to get to her before transfers and then she wouldn't get it in time for Christmas either.  Luckily Sunday morning I received an email that her pkg made it to Indiana and then last Monday Alysha took a picture of herself opening her pkg--it was a big relief that it made it.  Because of all the drama and stress of that pkg I did the yarn color for the missionary quilt red and blue for the missing usps pkg!! Alysha's Group Em...
