Week 8--Frosty The Investigator

This past week we had a little bit of a package scare as I sent Alysha's Christmas pkg off early like her mission president wanted to get there before transfers happen this week.  Every thing was great until I checked tracking and realized that for 4 days my pkg never moved from the West Jordan Post Office.  The Saturday that it was suppose to reach Alysha it was still in West Jordan!!  I was freaking out that her Christmas package was lost and that she wouldn't have anything for Christmas or by the time they found the pkg it would be too late to get to her before transfers and then she wouldn't get it in time for Christmas either.  Luckily Sunday morning I received an email that her pkg made it to Indiana and then last Monday Alysha took a picture of herself opening her pkg--it was a big relief that it made it.  Because of all the drama and stress of that pkg I did the yarn color for the missionary quilt red and blue for the missing usps pkg!!

Hey ya'll

 Transfers are coming!!

Not a crazy week. Sister Kimmerle was sick Wednesday-Friday, (could have something to do with a not sketchy at all restaurant we ate at🌮🤒). I got to do some street contacting and give frosty the snowman a pass along card.

Here's something I've been learning. Want to learn to feast on the scriptures? Come up with questions, not superficial or easy questions, but questions that really matter to you. As I have done that, seeking to be guided by the Spirit, I have studied and felt guided towards passages that have tutored me, and made me want to read as long as possible! I'm not saying answers will come easily (I've definitely stared at a verse and felt confused or conflicted) but I am saying seek and ye shall find!!

Also, got to talk with my first Bible basher. It was interesting as we talked about the Church's name! He thought it was too bold/exclusive and I explained that we call our church by this name because Christ asked us to, which connected some dots for me. 😊 Of course that led to a discussion about Joseph Smith and how this preacher did not belive in the BoM AT ALL. Lol, but I was able to practice Elder Rasbands advice concerning bashers, to prepare your heart to love them. As I saw this man, who knew his bible, I thought of how Jesus would listen and interact with him. This preacher was concerned about our salvation (maybe as much as proving us wrong 😉). But that experience definitely gave me greater confidence in dealing with Bible bashers, they're not as scary as I feared.

So that was my week! Love ya'll.

K bye.
