I'm in a Trio

Hello everyone!

It was a wild week. We dropped off Sister Baumgartner at the airport, and she made it to the Philippines! I joined a trio with some STLs in the neighboring zone, Sister Whiting and Sister Reese. This has been amazing they are awesome Sisters. We are double covering Eagle Creek and the Indy YSA ward. Double covering is kinda fun. We are literally so busy all the time. Not a day goes by without teaching a lesson. Every night I flop onto my bed exhausted, but satisfied! It's hard, but awesome. (Although I'll be happy to go back to not double covering once transfers hit next week).

We got to go to a guy's baptism named Owen in the Indy YSA ward and I was able to play the piano for that meeting. It was awesome to watch! Owen is literally so prepared and progressed so fast!

☆Okay updates on people we're teaching☆
Toneisha
She came to church! She didn't have any church clothes so Sister B and I both gave her one of our skirts so she could have something to wear. She brought her 3 years old and 6 year old to church, and that 3 year old wasn't having sitting down. The ward was literally the best, the kindest as they helped keep him entertained. One member of the Bishopric walked Jayden (the 3 year old) around the church so Toneisha could listen. It was amazing. Toneisha loved church, and told us she wants to be baptized while we were at church. I love this woman. She is literally going through so much right now with her health and family problems, but she is so strong in faith, and an amazing mom! After church she texted us that she's going to bring her friend to church next week. We're looking forward to teaching Toneisha this week so she can progress towards baptism!

Daniel:
I don't know if I included him in a past email but he referred himself. We had called and texted with no answer. Finally, we dropped by in person. He didn't answer his door. But we left a passalong with a note on it. He texted us! We were able to call and he told us about how he was seeking some treasure (of an earthly kind) and he heard a still small voice tell him that he already knows where the real treasure is. He told us that he had been a member of the church and that he'd had his records removed. But after that experience he wanted to join the church again. To be rebaptized a person has to work very closely with the bishop, but as we talked with the bishop about him, our bishop expressed so much love for Daniel, expressing that everyone is welcome in our congregation, and he would rejoice to help a prodigal son return. This bishop's response was just so filled with love, it was incredible to me.
Anyway, Daniel has been reaching out TO US for the zoom link for church. We're excited to help him more.

We also taught a cool guy named Ramse. Rather than bible bash with him to PROVE that we're right, we instead bore testimony and encouraged him to read the book of Mormon to let him learn for himself. The lesson really took a turn as we asked him, Ramsey, how do you know that the Bible is true? That quieted him as he truly paused to consider and ponder that question. He then expressed that he had read it and it had brought him closer to God. We bore testimony of the Book of Mormon that it would bring him closer to God. He seems to be an honest seeker of truth and so he was willing to try. It was incredible!

☆Final thoughts// Invitation ☆
There are many reasons to fear, but there are so many reasons to rejoice and trust in the Lord as well.

Our mission President challenged us to read four pages from the Book of Mormon every day at zone conference and highlight all the references to Christ AND all the references to christ atonement (words like mercy, repent, etc). This has been awesome! I have loved really focusing on the Book of Mormon. This book has brought me so much joy! Focusing on Christ's atonement is changing my mission and me.

I'd love to invite you to take on this challenge and read however many pages is right for you from the Book of Mormon each day. If you read from the Book of Mormon each day, focusing on Christ and His atonement, and I can promise that you will will feel peace, even joy in the midst of trials and heartache! God will speak to you through the words of the Book of Mormon!

Put this promise to the test! Give it a try!

Love you all!
