Week 24

Hello! Our apartment got fixed up!  We taught Toneisha the word of wisdom and it was super cool! She was surprised by coffee, but still willing to try to follow it! The word of Wisdom has crazy awesome blessings you guys! Derrick came to a baptism this week, and has a desire to be baptized. He has noticed the special feeling at church!! We'll be putting him on date soon! Had a bike-ride in the dark, our new record this transfer is around 10 miles in a day! I'd love to invite you to come to conference prepared this week! We're going to hear from modern prophets and apostles! I challenge each of you to pray and read the scriptures every day this week in preparation! Bring a question to conference and let God teach you! Love, Sister Cox ☆Recommended Reading☆ Invite Christ to Author Your Story By Camille N. Johnson 1. Week 23

Hello Everyone! It's been a good week. We did lots of biking, and walking which was fun, except Sister Devey got some blisters 😬. The weather is crazy. It'll snow a little and have freezing rain one day, then be 60 degrees the next day.  Good news is the bedbugs are gone. Bad news is we have a wet spot in our carpet, and probably a leaking pipe in the ground... We weren't able to have any lessons with Toneisha this week. She has a lot going on and it was a rough week for her. She's had to move and we'll see how things go from here. But Derrick has been having consistent lessons, and he came to church again. (Did we bike in the freezing rain to get to that lesson? Yes. We did. 😉) We'll be teaching the children of a part member family soon, so we're excited to get that rolling next week! All of us missionaries were able to speak in church on Sunday, so that was sweet! This ward is awesome! I think that's all I've got for ya'll! So excited for u...

Don't Let The Bed Bugs Bite!

Hello Everyone! Story time! Literally so many from the week, so where to begin... I said bye to Sister Whiting and Sister Reese. Can't believe Sister Whiting went home! But then, I got my new companion, Sister Devey. She's awesome. She's also from Utah and is super cool. She's deaf, but has Cochlear Implants so she can hear. It's crazy when she takes them off she can't hear me at all! I've been able to practice some ASL with her, and she gave me a name sign. Literally so cool. She's an amazing missionary. I found a bed bug (see picture 5) on my bed, so we had to do some laundry and spray our apartment just in case. ðŸ˜¬ðŸ˜¬ðŸ˜¬ðŸ˜¬ðŸ˜¬ I also reached 5 months as a missionary! So crazy!! We are sharing a car with the Elders so, we'll be doing lots of biking this transfer.  We had another lesson with Toneisha. It was awesome, she asked us "When can I be baptized?" We put her on date and we're super excited for her. If all yall will include her in...

Week 21-Transfer Week

Hello Everyone! Had another great lesson with Toneisha. She's super Sad that Sister Whiting is leaving. I'm sad about that too. I've learned so much from these two sisters I've been comps with! After we had a lesson where a friend talked about a vision he'd had, I couldn't help but sit in aw in that dark car. We live in a day of miracles! There are many people who have expressed visions/miracles to me and I just can't even believe it! God continues to do his work!  Indy weather is so crazy. One day it's 70 degrees. The next its 30. It literally changes every single day.  We also were able to attend another baptism for the Indy YSA ward, for a guy named Steven. It was super cool! Also we had a few lessons with people who just didn't have the softest hearts. I'm definitely learning this about the gospel. I cannot logic what I have learned and experienced into your head, no matter how much I may want to! I can answer questions, but a person has to...
