Don't Let The Bed Bugs Bite!

 Hello Everyone!

Story time! Literally so many from the week, so where to begin...
I said bye to Sister Whiting and Sister Reese. Can't believe Sister Whiting went home! But then, I got my new companion, Sister Devey. She's awesome. She's also from Utah and is super cool. She's deaf, but has Cochlear Implants so she can hear. It's crazy when she takes them off she can't hear me at all! I've been able to practice some ASL with her, and she gave me a name sign. Literally so cool. She's an amazing missionary.
I found a bed bug (see picture 5) on my bed, so we had to do some laundry and spray our apartment just in case. 😬😬😬😬😬
I also reached 5 months as a missionary! So crazy!! We are sharing a car with the Elders so, we'll be doing lots of biking this transfer. 
We had another lesson with Toneisha. It was awesome, she asked us "When can I be baptized?" We put her on date and we're super excited for her. If all yall will include her in your prayers that would be awesome! 
Also, I had no idea that missions are so hard. There was a guy we were teaching, who was offended because of our mission rules so he told us not to call or come by again. Ooof. I have prayed for this guy and cared so much about him. After reading that text I just felt so hurt. But then my amazing new missionary companion shared this scripture with me: 
Ether 12:37: And it came to pass that the Lord said unto me: If they have not charity it mattereth not unto thee, thou hast been faithful; wherefore, thy garments shall be 
made clean. And because thou hast seen thy weakness thou shalt be made strong, even unto the sitting down in the place which I have prepared in the mansions of my Father.
We also taught a new friend named Ogo. She's amazing. We taught her the restoration and invited her to read the Book of Mormon. She is so humble and kind, it's refreshing to be around her! 
Okay story time. We were walking down the street and a car's emergency lights turn on and a guy comes out of his apartment and asks "Did you touch my car?". We keep walking and respond no back towards him. He asks it again so I joke back "Did you want us to touch your car?"  He then calls back " No but you can touch my phone, my number is..." Lol haha. So funny after we were out of sight, Sister Devey and I laughed pretty hard. 
So our neighbor also invited us over for a barbeque and they were smoking weed and drinking non-word of wisdom friendly beverages. Haha we come in there and we're like "We drink water." Haha, so funny. That neighbor saw us drawing with chalk today came up and told us "You are so different" but like in a good way. She said she had a lot of questions for us. We're excited about that.

Week 9--It's Transfer Week

  Transfers have come. It's been an interesting week. We were able to go on exchanges which went crazy well! Sister Young and I ran into 90% Spanish speakers, who were all very friendly, and two invited us in! Between her broken Spanish and translation apps, we got a lot of referrals for the Spanish Elders! Haha.  Sister Kimmerle will be leaving to Fishers and I'll be staying in Westfield. My new companion will be Sister Hales. Also a member called and said her two sons want to be baptized so we're going to be teaching them soon! Talked with Axel over the phone, but we haven't been able to have a lesson yet. 😕 K thats all ❤ Sister Cox President and Sister Page with their favorite district. Alysha Cox's LAST Mission Update!

  Hey Everyone!   I can't believe last week was my last week as a full time missionary. Let me tell you about my week and then I've got some final thoughts to wrap up this email series.    Last Monday we managed to squeeze 4 lessons into the brief time after pday. It was a busy week as we were helping a struggling friend and preparing another friend, Juan, for baptism. I had my departing interview with President Riding, which was so crazy! Basically this week was so busy, but it was awesome! Yesterday we were talking to people on the streets of Anderson, and we talked to several who weren't interested, but the last lady we talked to, it was so cool! She had just been praying to God for him to help, to give her something to believe he still cared about her. Then, we run into her and ask if we can share a scripture, I started reading a verse from Matthew, which turns out is the name of someone she's been struggling with. She just knew we were such a direct answer...
