A Week of Miracles

Literally so many miracles this week. Get Ready. Here we go.

First off, Mia. We were just sitting outside a library (Elders from our ward were having a lesson inside and we were trying to avoid awkward lol). But anyway, this girl comes up to us and asks if we're Mormons. She had met with missionaries previously and lost contact. We invited her to sit with us and had a lesson right there. We talked about so many things, then SHE set up a return appointment, LATER THAT NIGHT. When she asked about how you become a member of the Church!! She told us that she had woken up that morning and was dissatisfied with where she was spiritually and randomly found herself on a walk, where she ended up running into us! God led her to us! So excited!

Also quick funny awkward story. Sister Devey was taking my picture on a path, and a biker was coming up and tried to go behind her, right as she backed up and she got expressive with her arms and kinda punched him in the stomach. Haha, it was the most awkward moment of my life, but so hilarious.

Okay, back to miracles. We set out on Thursday to bike. It was raining like crazy. It rained the whole 6 miles to the library. Then it cleared up and didn't rain the rest of the day. Which was awesome, because we did 16 miles that day. We were exhausted by the time we made it home. For a moment we talked about how it hadn't rained all day, and then it started raining for like 2 seconds then stopped 🤣 But once we stepped on the porch, it started raining like crazy again.
It was like the angel in charge of rain that day had flipped the rain button on and God was like, "Hang on there, we've got two sisters out there" and he flipped it off until we got home! Haha.

We had an awesome lesson with Jerry. Lots of things and people going on.

Also got Transfer fates. I'm going to North Vernon Indiana. Which is south east of Indianapolis. At church today I was telling some members and they all didn't know where it was located . Sounds like it's a small town. I'll be finishing training Sister Stanton and I'll become an STL (Sister Training Leader), although my fellow STL will be in a different companionship. What?? So crazy. But bring it on.

We also got a phone call from a random number and called it back. A sister who had served in our area had accidentally called us. We ended up talking about some friends to reach out to. One of them, Kimberly we set a lesson up with! It was so cool!! totally an inspired random call!

It's crazy that they're white washing our area. They're putting Haitian Creol speaking missionaries in! Sister Devey will be whitewashing into another area. I have loved the Eagle Creek Ward! They have felt like a family.

We also had interviews with President Page. It was awesome. I really respect him and this was our last interview. We'll be getting a new mission president this coming transfer. That is so so sad.

Also, a few weeks ago we had taught Bree the restoration, then called her and texted to set up another lesson, but the responses we received back were to stop texting. Well, we asked if we had the wrong number and we got no response. We decided to chance it and go by again. We were so afraid Bree was going to be mad at us for showing up, but It was just a wrong number. Lol.  We set up a return appointment. I'm so grateful we had the courage to knock that door again She is just so Golden.

Okay, just kidding one more thought. I love this quote by President Nelson:
"Nothing is more liberating, more ennobling, or more crucial to our individual progression than is a regular, daily focus on repentance. Repentance is not an event; it is a process. It is the key to happiness and peace of mind. When coupled with faith, repentance opens our access to the power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ."

Repentance is such a gift  Sin causes us pain, and only through the Savior's atonement can we find relief, and oh the joy in the heavens for the soul that repenteth Love you all!

Talk to yall from North Vernon next week. I'm gonna miss Eagle Creek!♡
