Weekly Email & 8 Months Being a Missionary!

 Hi Everyone!

This week was interesting. We got kicked out of a music store, Got fed a lot of member meals *literally every single night.

Haha, we also had Zone Conference. It was so sad to have out last conference with President Page. When it finished, someone turned on God be With You As Until We Meet Again. We stood there and sang, and cried. I love these two leaders so much!  I'm going to miss them a lot.

We had a meeting that talked about finding by the spirit, and used the story of how Peter cast his net all day and caught no fish. But then, when he makes a simple adjustment after Jesus's direction, his nets are so full they're about to break! Well, right after that zoom meeting we decided to knock for a minute before heading to a member's house. Well. We knocked one door, and Joyce answered! We talked about the restoration and had a good conversation, she told us, that sounds true. We are excited to have a second lesson. You can spend hours knocking or on facebook, and find 0 interested people, but as you find with the direction of the spirit, you can knock a single door and find someone who's interested.

We also had another amazing lesson with Pattie. We went over the baptismal questions and she still has a desire to be baptized. Quitting smoking is definitely going to be a challenge, and she wasn't quite ready to set a baptismal date because she's had it fall through so many times before. I hope we can help her not get discouraged! I know she can overcome this!!

We also met a random guy at the park last week, Randy, and invited him to a come follow me study group our ward does. Well, HE CAME! He actually lives in Florida, but he'd been having a bad day, and remembered that invitation we'd given him. He enjoyed it, and wants to come again if he's still in town. That was crazy to me because my Trainee suggested a few hours before the meeting to pray that Randy remembers to come. I was a little skeptical because we had no contact info to remind him with. But we prayed. AND HE CAME! I love that!!

Also, Family History is a lit missionary tool. Just wait for the miracles a brewing...

Okay, also I have to tell yall about something that made me laugh so so so hard this week. Like Sister Stanley was asking me if I was okay because I was laughing so hard...

It all started in my last area. The toilet in that apartment... It was unwell. It flushes if you hold the handle down the whole time it flushes. We left a note on the toilet for the sisters that whitewashed in, telling them that if flushed if you hold it long enough *sometimes. Okay, well Sister Devey and I both got transferred out of that area. We both assumed it could only go up from there.
 And it did for me.
But as for Sister Devey... The apartment in her area had a note on the toilet, written by the Elders, just like how we had done. The note Sister Devey found said, it flushes if you pull the handle out, kinda like a lawnmower. So now she has a lawn mower like flushing toilet, where you pull the handle out and release. I am dying with laughter even as I'm typing this. 🤣🤣🤣
But it was awesome to be able to talk with Sister Devey at Zone conference. I love her!

Okay, well, Hope y'all have an awesome week.

I love the Lord, I'm so grateful for the Book of Mormon, it has helped me to come closer to Jesus Christ.

Love you all!
