Weekly Email Week 36

 Hi Everyone!

We got questioned by a police officer, went to the hospital, and I got a tattoo. Haha, let me explain. No. There is too much let me summarize.

We were out by the library, then as we're leaving, a cop pulls up, points at us to stay put and starts telling our license plate number to his shoulder communicator thing. I guess the fire alarms had started going off in the library, and they thought we might have had something to do with it. Haha, he then got a message that it was a false alarm and we were good to go. So funny.

Also, there was a bug in my shirt, which I found while I was driving, and I grabbed it between the fabric of my shirt, and not knowing what kind of but it was, I squished it. I was so scared I had squished a fire fly. That would have crushed my soul. Instead it was actually just an ugly bug. But that ugly bug stained my fingers! For like 5 days I had a little tattoo on my thumb!

And then the Hospital, we went to the hospital to visit someone we are teaching, (we definitely got lost in the halls...) But Trish called us up while we were checking out in walmart my first day in the area, and set up an appointment. I assumed Sister Stanley knew who it was, but turns out she had no idea. Trish had kept a pass along card in her make-up bag and finally decided to give us a call to set up a lesson. She's been taught by missionaries before, and when we brought a book of Mormon, she wanted to read the chapter about seeds and faith!

So that things weren't all that crazy, but I just thought it would be a great way to start the email. Sorry Mom! ♡

But this week the coolest experience happened. We went to the park to go teach Winston and he was sitting next to some other people (he didn't really know them either). We introduced ourselves to the two new people and said we were going to be talking about Christ with Winston and asked if they'd like to join the lesson. Ashley and Rusty both said sure, why not! We taught the restoration, then when we finished Winston was like "But tell them about the three heavens" So then we taught them the Plan of Salvation! It was so cool! We had a member at the lesson and it just went so well. When we were finishing up, Ashley told us we had given her a lot of hope. She told us she had prayed the biggest prayer the night before, and we had answered that prayer. How humbling and awesome that was! We're meeting with all three of them again tomorrow!

I also went on exchanges with Sister Preece, and she is an awesome missionary! But I wasn't there for Pattie's lesson this week, but sounds like it went pretty okay?

We're still teaching Blayden, Blake, and Blaze, we're just about finished with the lessons, so they just need to get permission to be baptized. So here's hoping 🤞

Alright, that's all I remember from the week.

Love,
Sister Cox
