Hi Everyone!
My new area is amazing.
Okay I don't even know how to describe this. Well, Tally, our ward mission leader put it pretty good when he described it as "celestial".
What the heck?
Okay so first we go into the apartment that doesn't smell like weed *meaning it's a nice one*. Then we go to the grocery store and this lady stops us before we even enter and asks, well if we're Amish. It was so funny. But we explained that we were missionaries and she asked if we could get a bible. So we ran back to our car (We have our OWN car!!) and got a bible for her. What? This area really is so cool. We ran into so many people out here in contacts who we were able to share a message with. I'm so excited. Also, there are no Spanish missionaries covering this area, so you might as well call me Hermana Cox now. We're doing our best with the Spanish we know, but if people are interested, we'll teach them, even if it's through google translate or a member as an interpreter. But Yeah. It's a busy area. It's also an enormous area! It is miles upon miles of country, so it's beautiful, but with our limited miles.... 😅
I have seen some hills that I don't want to bike lol.
Anyway, I've been follow up training Sister Stanley, but she's just amazing, she speaks a little bit better Spanish than me, so that's awesome. She likes to write and talks about things in word count, so she'll say something like, "yeah, it was about 60,0009 words", so I feel so at home. Shout out to my writing Sisters at home. ♡♡
But this week really was amazing. We found so many people and I really am a little speechless. These people are so funny, in North Vernon, everyone knows everyone. It's so fun to serve in such a small town. But the ward is amazing. I literally can't comprehend such a popping area.
Haha, alright, well I think that's about all.
Also, we were preparing a training for zone conference and we came across this quote from President Oaks. It was super interesting in relation to missionary work and how there is so much Good we can be doing, but sometimes we definitely can't do it all, so there was this advice:
"We should begin by recognizing the reality that just because something is good is not a sufficient reason for doing it. The number of good things we can do far exceeds the time available to accomplish them. Some things are better than good, and these are the things that should command priority attention in our lives."
Okay, love you all!
Sister Cox Aka Hermana Cox.
P.S Sorry there's not a lot of pictures this week. Got too busy doing missionary work. Also we drive a lot. K bye.
