Week 55

Hi Everyone!    We met an awesome friend Paul last week. But his number wasn't working. We decided to call again one more time. And the call went through and he answered! He awesome! Can't wait to meet with him tomorrow!   We also were able to meet with a recent convert, Benny! He's so awesome. As he talked about his life before compared to now, I am just so impressed by the change Christ's Gospel can have on a person!!   We had some awesome lessons with some friends who also do art. We were able to look at each other's sketchbooks. It was cool how my Sketchbook was kinda like a visual testimony and led to great gospel conversations!   Then we finally met Ethan! He is the nicest person ever. He also has a desire to be baptized, and came to church this week!!   This week I've felt a lot more hope, after some diligent effort, things are picking up a little! 😊   Sorry it's a short one this week.   Love,    Sister Cox...

Week 54

Hi Everyone!    This week was so good. We did an exchange with Sisters in Kokomo. We pulled up to the wrong apartment at 10:30 at night. Then we got the right address and pulled up to the Sister's sketchy apartment (they're moving this week cause its too sketchy) and finally found their apartment. Haha, but it was awesome! I got to be with Sister Cook, and she got her first door slammed after we knocked. That was like my second one! But we also knocked on a lady's door and taught her a lesson, gave her a copy of the Book of Mormon and it was awesome!   Then we went to Lawrence, for a second exchange right after Kokomo. I was with Sister Reese! Not my companion, but the other Sister Reese in the mission! We were able to call this one guy and he was like, yeah you can call me again, call me anytime, even 2 or 4am. If it's about Jesus I've got time. It was awesome!  When we finally got back to Muncie we were exhausted, and had to lead a zoom meeting, a...

Week 53

Hi everyone!   This week was interesting! We had some good conversations. I'm still learning how to be a campus missionary!   Remember that inspired bathroom break from a few weeks ago? Well, Nancy got baptized on Saturday!! Wahoo!! I'm so excited for her. I know that Baptism will really bless her life! It was such an awesome choice! I think meeting us really softened her heart towards the North Vernon ward! Still living the dream here in Ball State. Lol.    Sorry it's a short one this week. We're still meeting everyone the missionaries were teaching in this area. But the congregation (branch) that we meet with are so awesome! Going to church raised my spirits so much yesterday!!   I was reading in the book of Mormon and the randomest verse stood out to me, but taught me super powerfully. So remember to read the scriptures this week, especially the Book of Mormon! God want to speak to you and comfort you, and he'll often do it through the script...

Week 52

Hey Everyone!   This week I moved to Muncie Indiana to be a missionary on Ball State University.    It is so fun to be a missionary on campus, there are so many people to talk with, so that's fun!    Neither me nor my companion were here before, so we are learning the area together and meeting the friends the missionaries were teaching before we got here. So that has been wild.    It was sad to say good bye again, even more sad because I didn't get to say good bye to the North Vernon ward because it was the weekend of General Conference.  🤧   We live right next door to the Elders who also serve on Ball State. So that's kinda fun to doorbell ditch them every time we go anywhere.    I love serving with Sister Reese!   This past week we met with Benny, a guy at Ball State who was baptized a few weeks ago. He also was able to go to the temple recently, and had an awesome experience! He said he doesn't usually cry, but he de...

Week 51

Hi everyone it's going to be a short one because I'm getting transferred and have to be packing today, but here are some key experiences in the week.    On Saturday, In-between sessions we had a lesson with a friend who is very active in her faith (yay! 😊 ) and was interested in what we believe. We invited her to read another chapter in the Book of Mormon and she was definitely hesitant. The Spirit whispered to me that I needed to bear my testimony to her. I was worried about pushing her too much by doing that, but I trusted in the spirit's guidance, and I bore my testimony that the Book of Mormon is true. I know it is! It is a book that has brought me close to God and helps me strengthen my relationship with him every day. I felt satisfied because I was able to bear my testimony to her.    Also, remember that Bishop named Kevin from Indiana mentioned in Conference? He's not my bishop, but I know who he is.  🤣   I'm heading to Muncie, to the YSA wa...
