Week 51
Hi everyone it's going to be a short one because I'm getting transferred and have to be packing today, but here are some key experiences in the week.
On Saturday, In-between sessions we had a lesson with a friend who is very active in her faith (yay!😊) and was interested in what we believe. We invited her to read another chapter in the Book of Mormon and she was definitely hesitant. The Spirit whispered to me that I needed to bear my testimony to her. I was worried about pushing her too much by doing that, but I trusted in the spirit's guidance, and I bore my testimony that the Book of Mormon is true. I know it is! It is a book that has brought me close to God and helps me strengthen my relationship with him every day. I felt satisfied because I was able to bear my testimony to her.
Also, remember that Bishop named Kevin from Indiana mentioned in Conference? He's not my bishop, but I know who he is. 🤣
I'm heading to Muncie, to the YSA ward at Ball State University tomorrow. I'm excited, but the last song in conference made me about to start bawling as the choir sung, God be with you till we meet again. Just like past areas, I have loved this one. I have loved the friends I have made, experiences I have had. I'm going to miss Sister Pope and Sister SilvaCaycedo a lot. It's so hard to say goodbye. No one warns you about how hard that is before you go on the mission.
There was so much that happened this week, but not enough time to write about it.
I know God lives! His work continues. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is HIS Church. The prophets and apostles who lead and guide this church are men of God.
I'd love to invite you (yes you) after listening to conference, to pick a talk you loved and to share with a friend this week. Say something like, I was thinking of you and thought you might enjoy this, etc. Etc. Share the joy, peace, and hope that is available to be found through those inspired words!
I love you all!
