Alysha's Weekly Mission Email
Hey Everyone!
This week I got to go to a
baptism in Muncie with some of our friends from Anderson and see some old
friends. That was awesome!
Then I had my last zone
conference. It was kinda sad. I love these missionaries, and it just kinda
started to hit that I'm nearing the end. We started singing How Firm a Foundation,
which was the last song we sang at the MTC before leaving for Indiana. It hit
powerful then, and it hit powerful this week. I was a little too emotional to
sing most of the song, but I listened, until we came to verse 7.
This is what the verses say:
How firm a foundation, ye Saints of the Lord,
Is laid for your faith in his excellent word!
What more can he say than to you he hath said,
Who unto the Savior, who unto the Savior,
Who
unto the Savior for refuge have fled?
Fear not, I am with thee; oh, be not dismayed,
For I am thy God and will still give thee aid.
I’ll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand,
Upheld by my righteous, upheld by my righteous,
Upheld
by my righteous, omnipotent hand.
The soul that on Jesus hath leaned for repose
I will not, I cannot, desert to his foes;
That soul, though all hell should endeavor to shake,
I’ll never, no never, I’ll never, no never,
I’ll never, no never, no never forsake!
Sister Hill was so
sweet, and then the mission president's wife was watching me during the song
and gave me a hug after we finished.
This week we taught a lot of lessons. There is so much to do here in Anderson. It was a good week, and I'm excited for the coming one. We got to teach the plan of salvation several times this week, which was awesome! It brings so much hope, so much purpose.
Want to watch a cool video about it?

Okay, have a great week!
