Weekly Mission Email

Hey Everyone!

This week Steve got to come start his family history! It was so cool as he had nothing, then 20 minutes later he had a good sized family tree on family search. We got to teach several friends about the temple this week. This video is so powerful! Two Apostles Lead a Virtual Tour of the Rome Italy Temple

Temples were found in Christ's Church anciently, they are there again today.

I was thinking about how the temple and tabernacle were places of sacrifice, and 3 Nephi 9: 19-20

And ye shall offer up unto me no more the shedding of blood; yea, your sacrifices and your burnt offerings shall be done away, for I will accept none of your sacrifices and your burnt offerings.

20 And ye shall offer for a sacrifice unto me a broken heart and a contrite spirit. And whoso cometh unto me with a broken heart and a contrite spirit, him will I baptize with fire and with the Holy Ghost, even as the Lamanites, because of their faith in me at the time of their conversion, were baptized with fire and with the Holy Ghost, and they knew it not.

The temple has altars still, it is a place where we go show God that we are willing to put him first and sacrifice in his behalf.

After teaching one of our friends about Temples this week, he told us, "I believe what you've been telling me is true". That was so huge! We have been teaching him since October! As he has read the Book of Mormon his knowledge and testimony has grown! It has been cool to watch!

So for my next transfer I'll be finishing training a new missionary back in Anderson!

 Have a great week!
