A Week of Miracles

Image
Literally so many miracles this week. Get Ready. Here we go. First off, Mia. We were just sitting outside a library (Elders from our ward were having a lesson inside and we were trying to avoid awkward lol). But anyway, this girl comes up to us and asks if we're Mormons. She had met with missionaries previously and lost contact. We invited her to sit with us and had a lesson right there. We talked about so many things, then SHE set up a return appointment, LATER THAT NIGHT. When she asked about how you become a member of the Church!! She told us that she had woken up that morning and was dissatisfied with where she was spiritually and randomly found herself on a walk, where she ended up running into us! God led her to us! So excited! Also quick funny awkward story. Sister Devey was taking my picture on a path, and a biker was coming up and tried to go behind her, right as she backed up and she got expressive with her arms and kinda punched him in the stomach. Haha, it was the mos...

Hi Everyone! This week was honestly...Meh not my favorite. I'll tell you about my very bad no good day in a minute. But yesterday was AMAZING! So it all begins with a visit to a family we met, the Mom speaks Hatian Creole, but the daughters Ruth and Lunia can translate for us. When we stopped by, we talked with the daughters and gave them copies of the Book of Mormon and we'll hopefully stop by again sometime this week, when the parents are home again. That was pretty sweet.  Then we had an awesome member lesson with the Fords.  THEN we head to a lesson and stop to talk to this guy, Natnel who's sitting outside. He was so humble, and it was so so refreshing. We told him about the book of Mormon and gave him a copy. He speaks Tirigan? Another language. Anyway, a little bit of a language barrier, but he does speak English too. But he was so excited about the book of Mormon. He invited us inside his home and we talked to the rest of his family about the Book of Mormon. (Th...

Hi Everyone! Wild, but short week. So Wednesday evening, after we went to the temple, the Pages took us and the other two sets of Elders in our ward out to dinner and then to set up for a relief society event we were all speaking at. So fun. But that night I didn't feel very well and the next day Sister Devey's stomach hurt and she just didn't feel good (I was good after a night's rest). So we had a sick day and 1/2. But we got to do some Facebook work! Haven't had time for that in a minute. Get this! My one friend we found through Facebook is progressing! Can't wait were getting close to teaching a lesson, probably this week. Can't wait! Although she doesn't live in our area... We also were able to visit Olayinka, a ward member, again. She was glad to see us, and we invited her to read the Book of Mormon everyday. I Loved her faith when she said, yes!  Also last night we called our friend Willy and he didn't pick up. So as we started another thing...

Week 30--7 Months as a Missionary!!

Hello Everyone!  This week was crazy! It was so fun! It was also longer than usual because I was able to go to the temple today! We had to switch pday to Wednesday to go to the temple, which was a little rough, but so worth it to go to the temple. Felt so at home! This week we have a great example of Indiana weather! We had stopped to sit on a bench to do some contacting, then it started to drizzle, so I pulled out my umbrella then the storms came down and the rains went up and we got soaked! There was a member that lived nearby so we biked quickly and took cover in their garage and the kids showed us their amazing cosplay weapons they'd made 🤣 it was so cool. We also had zone conference! One thing we talked about was focusing on the things we can control, because there are definity a lot of things we have 0 control over, and so we should focus our energy on the things we can control. It's actually super nice to let go of things you can't control. We've been busy lit...
